The SayLive Prize 2026

This contest is organised by SayLive, which publishes saylive.ai.

Entering costs nothing and requires no purchase. The opening date, the entry deadline, the date voting opens and the closing date are the ones shown on this page.

Anyone holding a SayLive account may enter one site they own, published and online at the moment they enter. A site on a free trial may enter; when its entry is accepted, its trial is extended so that it stays online until the contest is over.

Unless this page says otherwise, one account enters one site. The number of places is limited: once it is reached, entering closes even if the deadline has not passed.

Every entry is looked at by a person before it is shown. We refuse an entry when the site is unreachable or unfinished, when its content breaches our acceptable use policy, or when we would rather not feature it.

That policy is published at saylive.ai/acceptable-use and it applies to every site we host, contest or no contest. It forbids, among other things, anything unlawful, material that exploits children, pages built to defraud, malware, infringement of someone else's rights, content published about a person without their consent, content that harasses or threatens a person, and content inciting hatred or violence against a group or a person.

The last ground is ours and not the law's: a contest puts a site on our own domain, next to a prize we pay. Being accepted is an editorial decision, never a right, and a refusal on that ground is not a judgement on the site.

A refusal is always given with its reason, and the same site may be entered again in a later contest.

The site has to keep meeting these conditions for the whole contest. One that stops is removed from the field and may be disqualified, at any point, including after the ballots have been counted.

While entries are open, the candidates are not shown. Entries are collected and decided one by one, nothing is displayed, and nobody votes. Between the entry deadline and the opening of the vote, we finish reading the last entries.

On the date shown, every accepted entry appears at once and voting opens. Nobody is seen, or judged, before the others, and entering early gives no advantage.

Voting requires a SayLive account. Each account has a limited number of votes for the whole contest, shown on this page, and may give at most one vote to each candidate. A vote may be taken back for as long as voting is open.

For each vote we record the account, the date and time, the IP address and the browser identification. That information is used for one purpose only: detecting attempts to rig the result. It is never published, never shown to the candidates, and it is erased ninety days after the contest closes. The vote itself and the count are kept.

At the close, SayLive checks the ballots and then announces the winners. The vote count is the basis of the ranking; it is not automatically the verdict. Any ballot obtained through automated means, duplicate accounts, purchased votes or any other manipulation is cancelled, and an entry that benefited from it may be disqualified.

The prize is described on this page and is awarded to the account that entered the winning site.

Where the prize depends on the number of candidates, the number counted is that of the accepted entries, and it is fixed at the entry deadline. What is awarded below that number is stated on the same page, before entries open.

A prize cannot be exchanged for anything else. If it cannot be awarded for a reason outside our control, SayLive may replace it with a prize of equivalent value.

SayLive processes the data of participants and voters to run the contest and to protect its fairness. Details, and how to exercise your rights, are in our privacy policy on saylive.ai.

SayLive may amend these rules or cancel the contest where circumstances require it: a technical failure, a legal obligation, or manipulation that makes the result impossible to defend.

Two limits we hold ourselves to.

Nothing is changed to the detriment of an entry already in the contest once entries are open: not the prize announced, not the number of votes, not what it takes to win.

What has already been granted stays granted. A trial extended because an entry was accepted is not taken back, whatever becomes of the contest.
