Publish a Claude website
Where to publish my Claude website?
The short answer, the five places the site can go, and the one where Claude does the publishing itself.
Short answer
A website built in Claude is a set of static files, and it can go online in five places. Claude's own Publish button gives a shareable link in one click, Netlify Drop and GitHub Pages host the files for free if you handle them yourself, Vercel is the right home for a full application with a server, and a publishing connector like SayLive lets Claude put the site on a real address from the conversation, for €99 once. The choice comes down to two questions: is it a page or a full project, and do you need a domain of your own?
What Claude hands you
When Claude builds a site in the chat, the result is an artifact: an HTML page with its styles and scripts inside, previewed next to the conversation. A bigger site is several files, which Claude can also hand over as a download. In Claude Code, the files are already on your disk, in a project folder.
None of these is online yet. An artifact lives in your conversation and a folder lives on your computer. Publishing is the step that gives them an address, and Claude cannot take it alone: it needs somewhere to send the files.
Two things decide where. A single page and a full application with a server are not hosted in the same place, and a site for a business usually needs a domain of its own, which not every option offers.
Where a Claude website can go
| Option | Best for | What you get | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Publish inside Claude | A prototype, or a page to show someone today | A public link on Anthropic's domain that anyone can open without an account. No domain of your own, no contact form, and the page stays tied to your Claude account. | Included with the Free, Pro and Max plans |
| Netlify Drop | Someone comfortable with files and DNS | Drag the exported folder into the browser and it is live on a netlify.app address. A free account keeps it, and you add your own domain and its certificate yourself. | Free plan at $0 |
| GitHub Pages or Vercel | A project you will keep developing in code, or an app that needs a server | A repository, a deploy pipeline and a real address, github.io or vercel.app, with your own domain on top. Vercel is the only option on this page that runs server code. | GitHub Pages: free, but not for a shop or an online business. Vercel: Hobby free for personal, non-commercial use, Pro from $20 a month |
| Just Publish | A free link now, with a cheap monthly upgrade | Upload a ZIP, or let Claude send the files through their connector. The free tier lives on a justpublish.site subdomain and is archived after 30 days without traffic; a custom domain needs the monthly plan. | Free, or $9 a month with a domain |
| SayLive | A real site for a business, published by Claude itself, paid once | Say "publish my site" and Claude puts it on yoursite.saylive.site, or on your own domain, included. A contact form, a review link with screenshots, versions and rollback, and every update is one more sentence to Claude. Static sites only. | €99 once, after 30 days free |

Let Claude publish it: the SayLive connector
SayLive is a connector over the Model Context Protocol. Added once to Claude, it gives Claude a publish tool, and the site goes from the conversation to a live address with no download, no ZIP and no deploy dashboard. Anthropic opened custom connectors to every plan, Free included (one connector at a time on Free), so nothing stands between a first conversation and a first site.
- In Claude, open your settings, then Connectors, and add a custom connector with the SayLive address.
- Sign in or create your SayLive account in the window that opens. That is what links the two.
- Back in the chat, ask Claude to build the site, or open the conversation where it already did.
- Say "publish my site". Claude sends the files, SayLive checks them, and Claude replies with the live address.
- To change anything later, ask Claude and say "publish" again. Every publish is a version you can roll back to.
In Claude Code, the gesture is one command in the terminal: claude mcp add --transport http --scope user saylive https://mcp.saylive.ai/mcp, then /mcp to authorise. The rest is the same sentence.
Paste this to Claude
If the SayLive connector is available, publish this site with it and give me the live address. If it is not, stop and tell me: I will add it under Connectors with the address https://mcp.saylive.ai/mcp.
The connector address is https://mcp.saylive.ai/mcp. The docs cover every assistant.
When SayLive is the wrong answer
SayLive publishes static sites: pages, styles, scripts that run in the browser, images. If your Claude project needs accounts, a database or code that runs on a server, it is a web application, and Vercel or Netlify with a repository is the right home for it.
If all you need is to show a page to one person today, the Publish button in Claude is enough, and it is free. SayLive is for the moment a page becomes a site: an address of its own, a form that receives messages, versions, and the promise that nothing changes online until you say so.
A site published with SayLive stays yours as files: download any version as a ZIP and host it anywhere, any time.
Questions
Can Claude publish a website by itself?
Claude can write the site, and its Publish button gives a shareable link on Anthropic's domain. For a real address it needs a publishing connector such as SayLive, added once under Connectors: you say "publish my site" in the conversation and get the live address back.
Do I need to export a ZIP from Claude?
Not with a connector. Claude sends the files to SayLive directly over the Model Context Protocol, and the site is live before you have opened a folder. A ZIP is only needed for the options where you upload the site yourself, like Netlify Drop or Just Publish.
Is the Publish button in Claude enough for a business website?
For a prototype, yes. A business will want a domain of its own, a contact form and a site that outlives the conversation, which the artifact link does not offer: as of 13 September 2026 it is a public link on Anthropic's domain, with no custom domain.
Does SayLive work with Claude Code?
Yes. Add the connector with claude mcp add --transport http --scope user saylive https://mcp.saylive.ai/mcp, authorise it with /mcp, and Claude Code publishes the project folder the same way.
What does it cost to publish a Claude website with SayLive?
€99 once, after a free 30-day trial during which the site is already online with a small banner. Hosting, your own domain, the contact form and updates through your assistant are included, and there is no subscription: the whole price is one line.
Free for 30 days. Two minutes, no credit card.
