Publish a Cursor website

Where to publish my Cursor website?

The short answer, the four places the site can go, and the one where the agent in Cursor does the publishing itself.

Short answer

A website built in Cursor is a folder of files on your disk, and Cursor does not host it. It can go online in four places: Netlify Drop if you want to drag the folder and be done, GitHub Pages or Vercel if you will keep developing it in a repository, Just Publish for a free link from a ZIP, and a publishing connector like SayLive, which lets the agent in Cursor publish the site from the editor, on a real address, for €99 once.

What Cursor hands you

Cursor works in a project folder: the site is real files on your machine, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images, and often a framework that needs a build step. That folder is the whole site, and it is not online.

The agent in Cursor takes MCP servers, so the publishing step can happen inside the editor, in the same chat you build in, with no pipeline to configure.

Where a Cursor website can go

OptionBest forWhat you getCost
Netlify DropSomeone comfortable with files and DNSDrag the exported folder into the browser and it is live on a netlify.app address. A free account keeps it, and you add your own domain and its certificate yourself.Free plan at $0
GitHub Pages or VercelA project you will keep developing in code, or an app that needs a serverA repository, a deploy pipeline and a real address, github.io or vercel.app, with your own domain on top. Vercel is the only option on this page that runs server code.GitHub Pages: free, but not for a shop or an online business. Vercel: Hobby free for personal, non-commercial use, Pro from $20 a month
Just PublishA free link now, with a cheap monthly upgradeUpload a ZIP, or let the agent send the files through their connector. The free tier lives on a justpublish.site subdomain and is archived after 30 days without traffic; a custom domain needs the monthly plan.Free, or $9 a month with a domain
SayLiveA static site you want online from the editor, paid once, no pipelineTell the agent "publish my site" and it puts the built folder on yoursite.saylive.site, or your own domain, included. A contact form, a review link with screenshots, versions and rollback. Static output only: run your build first, publish the result.€99 once, after 30 days free

Let the agent in Cursor publish it: the SayLive connector

SayLive is a connector over the Model Context Protocol. Cursor supports remote MCP servers with OAuth, so SayLive is one entry in its MCP settings, and from then on the agent has a publish tool: the site goes from the editor to a live address with no upload and no deploy dashboard.

  1. In Cursor, open the MCP settings and add a server named saylive with the URL https://mcp.saylive.ai/mcp, or put it in .cursor/mcp.json.
  2. Authorise SayLive in the browser window that opens: sign in or create your account. That is what links the two.
  3. Build the site, and if it uses a framework, run the build so the static output exists.
  4. In the agent chat, say "publish my site". The agent sends the files, SayLive checks them, and replies with the live address.
  5. To change anything later, ask the agent and say "publish" again. Every publish is a version you can roll back to.

Paste this to Cursor

If the SayLive connector is available, publish the built site with it and give me the live address. If it is not, stop and tell me: I will add it in the MCP settings with the URL https://mcp.saylive.ai/mcp.

The connector address is https://mcp.saylive.ai/mcp. The docs cover every assistant.

When SayLive is the wrong answer

If your project has an API, a database or accounts, it is an application, and Vercel with a repository is the right home for it. SayLive publishes the static output of a build, and nothing that runs on a server.

If you already have a deploy pipeline and a domain on Vercel or Netlify, keep it: SayLive adds nothing to a working setup. It is for the site that does not need one, the static page or brochure site a business wants online today, paid once, with a form and a review link included.

A site published with SayLive stays yours as files: download any version as a ZIP and host it anywhere, any time.

Questions

Can Cursor publish a website by itself?

No. Cursor edits files and does not host them. Its agent can run a deploy tool, and with a publishing connector such as SayLive added in the MCP settings, it publishes from the editor chat: you say "publish my site" and get the live address back.

Does SayLive work with Cursor?

Yes. Cursor supports remote MCP servers with OAuth. Add SayLive in the MCP settings with the URL https://mcp.saylive.ai/mcp, authorise it in the browser, and ask the agent to publish.

Does SayLive host a Next.js or Vite site from Cursor?

It hosts the static output of the build. Run the build, then publish the output folder. Anything that needs a server at request time, API routes or server rendering, is not supported: what fits and what does not.

What does it cost to publish a Cursor website with SayLive?

€99 once, after a free 30-day trial during which the site is already online with a small banner. Hosting, your own domain, the contact form and updates through your assistant are included, and there is no subscription: the whole price is one line.
